Current Affairs – Gateway to RBI Grade B 2017

download
Current Affairs have become an integral part of preparation for RBI Grade B examination and 2017 examination is going to be no different.
If one analyzes the previous year papers, one can easily come to the conclusion that current affairs is one section from where a number of questions have been asked, especially in the ESI paper of Phase 2.
Let us have a look at the 2016 ESI paper:
Topic: Measurement of growth: National Income and per capita income

1.What is the GDP growth rate in India in 2015-16?

2.India’s Per capita income according to census is?

Topic: Poverty Alleviation and Employment Generation in India

1.What is the total outlay of Himayat scheme announced in budget 2016?

2.Which scheme will not eliminate poverty?

Topic: Sustainable Development and Environmental issues

1.International solar alliance is an alliance between India and?

2.In Kudankulam plant, the name of the protest group is?

3.Kudankulam project is between India and?

4.One more question on kudankulam

5.NAPCC target

and so on…………………….

The question that now comes in one’s mind is :
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR CURRENT AFFAIRS?
Some of us think that reading a daily newspaper would be suffice as far as preparation for current affairs is concerned.
Let me put it very bluntly, newspaper is NOT sufficient for your preparation of current affairs. Yes, it shall aid your preparation but it shall not suffice.
1. First of all reading a newspaper consumes a lot of time especially for first time aspirants who face difficulty in identifying the important news
2. The facts and figures are reported but not in an organized manner thereby the complete picture is not formed in the aspirant’s mind
3. A number of questions are asked from reports such as Economic Survey, Budget, Monthly Policy Reviews, India Year Book, RBI Notifications etc. etc. which are not covered in the newspapers in the depth required.
So, what should I do?
  • Read one good daily newspaper for opinion building (remember you have to face the interview board!)
  • Follow daily current affairs websites like bankersadda, Gktoday for comprehensive coverage. Make short notes daily
  • Practice MCQs based on daily current affairs (available on EduTap) as well as based on important reports like Economic Survey, Budget, Government schemes, etc (available on EduTap)
  • Revise atleast 3-4 times
What EduTap has to Offer?

  • 100 quality MCQ’s on Current Affairs on Weekly Basis. We believe in quality and not quantity, there is no point in overburdening the aspirant with thousands of ill framed and irrelevant questions
  • The current affairs questions have been especially framed from the topics which are in syllabus for RBI Grade B exam. So you will get cent percent relevant information
  • 700+ MCQ’s from Economic Survey and Budget
  • 100+ MCQ’s from the Year Book
  • 100+ MCQ’s  from RBI Demonetization report
  • 150+ questions on Monthly Policy Review of Jan, Feb and Mar 2017
  • 500+ MCQ’s from RBI Bulletins, RBI Notifications, RBI Reports  and RBI Circulars
  • 500+ MCQ’s on government schemes, ESI in news, etc
These will not only help you in clearing the phase 2 with flying colors  but will also help you clear the first hurdle (Phase 1).
The general awareness section will be cakewalk for you once you attempt and grasp all the important information from these important reports and current affairs

“A year from now you may wish you had started today.”

We all procrastinate a lot, it’s something most of us are not able to do much about.  It has become a part of our existence and we happily abide by it.

RBI Grade B 2017 preparation like calling that old friend is one of those things which get pushed to tomorrow every day and that tomorrow never comes. Anyone serious about realizing his/her dream shall be able to break the shackles to start early and finish ahead of everyone

Shed any doubts you may have and start preparing for this exam in right earnest. There is considerable uncertainty in our times and preparing for RBI Grade B 2017 is a leap of faith for many. Time spent pondering is time wasted and in turn marks lost in the final exam

We live in times where every job has thousands of aspirants and when it comes to RBI Grade B, thousands becomes lakhs. We have less time to put our heads down and solve questions but enough time to ponder about the uncertainties and outrages around the world. When we see people spending so much of their precious time on online forums discussing irrelevant things, the more it becomes difficult to understand  how so many students have so much time to do inane research but too little time to actually finish the vast syllabus for RBI Grade B exam

Only You can Change your life and nobody can do it for you. Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

Start Preparing at the earliest. If you require any help on this, do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would happy to be part of your determined efforts towards realizing your dream.

Therefore we have been very liberal in giving some of our lessons for free so that you can go through them , evaluate them and finally bestow your trust upon us
  2. Take Your Time: One should not be impulsive when buying any course. Take your time to evaluate our course, gauge feedback from the current subscribers and more importantly call us in case you any doubt under the sky. But at the same time do not waste excessive time pondering over the irrelevant stuff  that after sometime you may feel that you are already left alone while others are so close to the destination

Our explanations are very comprehensive thereby helping you to learn the concepts without the need of going through voluminous books.

Would the tests be conducted online and in a real time exam environment?

Yes absolutely! All tests shall be conducted online and according to RBI prescribed format as well as time limit.

Each test would give the aspirant a feel of the real examination.

Will the difficulty level of tests be same or it will vary to give us exposure to different possibilities?

Phase 1 examination is all about selecting the right questions. You don’t have to attempt all 200 questions, the aim is only to clear the sectional as well as the overall cut off.

So selection/choosing the right question becomes extremely vital!

In our tests, the difficulty level would vary across tests. We have deliberately kept certain sections tough in some tests and certain other sections easy in some tests so that the aspirant is able to develop the art of selecting the ‘right’ questions.

What about the variety of Questions and will the pattern be same as past year exams?

We are covering all important sub topics under the various sections, be it GA, English, Reasoning or Quant.

We have not only carried out a thorough analysis of the paper of 2016 but of the years before that as well.

We have prepared the test papers accordingly so that the aspirant gets acclimatized with the pattern and nature of questions asked by RBI in the actual examination.

Is there  any limit on the number of  attempts in the full length mock tests?

Yes, each test can be taken 2 times.

However, explanations and answers can be viewed any number of times. There is no limit on that.

What if there is system shutdowns due to system or any other problem while I am giving attempting test? Will that be counted as a valid attempt?

No problem! The test can be resumed from the point where you left.

Are all the tests already uploaded or would they be uploaded in due course of time?

The tests would be uploaded as per the following schedule.

2.png

When should you ATTEMPT these tests?

There are two scenarios

Scenario 1 : Exam is held in July

In this scenario you should attempt all the tests by 25th June so that you are fully prepared for the exam to be held in July

Scenario 2 : Exam is held in September

You should complete first 5 tests as soon as you join. Then you work on the strong areas to make them even stronger and improve your weak areas.  Post that you attempt next 5 sets in 5 weeks just prior to the phase 1 exam

Once the test is uploaded, can I give test anytime as per my convenience?

Yes, however, we do recommend that you follow the schedule.
