The Agriculture Census Programme is a collaborative effort that is overseen by the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare having States/UTs as stakeholders. In India, Agriculture Census is carried out at an interval of five years as part of the World Agriculture Census Programme.
The present All India Report on Agriculture Census 2010-11 is ninth in the series. The tenth Agriculture Census with reference year 2015-16 has been launched on 3rd February, 2016 .The final report would be published in 2018.
