Why you should appear for RBI Grade B examination along with UPSC?

Cracking civil services examination is a dream of millions of young aspirants in our nation. And why not? The civil services examination is the door to the most prestigious and powerful positions in India like the IAS, IPS, IRS and so on!
It is quite understandable then that lakhs of aspirants appear for this exam every year sacrificing their careers, putting the prime years of their lives at stake for a chance to become an officer.
However, it is equally true that barring a few hundred, the rest, despite toiling hard, fail to achieve their dream and with a long career gap and nothing to show for it, it becomes hard if not impossible to find a good job that can to some extent satisfy one’s ambitions.

Let me present The Reserve Bank of India Manager Level (Gr B) examination.
Held every year with vacancies ranging from 75 in 2011-12 to 163 in 2016-17, this examination offers you a chance to become a part of the monetary authority of India!
The pay scale is awesome with annual CTC of around Rs 20 lakhs and promotion avenues are abundant with chances of climbing up the ladder to the post of Deputy Governor and Executive Director.
RBI is headquartered in Mumbai and most of the offices are in metro cities only (say bye bye to Rural postings!).
RBI also has dedicated quarters for its employees. Unlike normal public sector banks, RBI has defined working hours. The weekends are off, so you can relax on Saturdays and Sundays thanks to RBI’s promotion of good work life balance.
Want to go for higher studies? Not an issue if you are working with RBI.
The eligibility to appear for this exam is pretty basic– 21-30 years of age (relaxed in case you have higher education), graduation with 60% aggregate marks and minimum of 60% marks in 10th and 12th standard.
